Kylan's background and passion are in interactive design and video game design. He sees enormous potential to create rich, meaningful experiences through interactive projects and continues to explore the ways that these projects can influence culture, as well as affect how users view themselves and the world around them.
Originally from Mississippi, Kylan made his way west along the Gulf Coast before finally venturing out to Los Angeles for school in the Fall of 2003. After earning his Bachelor of Art degree (Multimedia emphasis) from Loyola Marymount University, Kylan continued his education in interactive design at Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, California. He earned his Master of Fine Arts Degree from the Graduate Media Design Program in Dec 2009. His thesis work, Empathetic Play, explored the possibility of creating introspective spaces through interactive gaming.
